Shakyamuni Buddha ~ Cloth Print
In this 14" X 21" cotton print, Sakyamuni, the Buddha of the present age, is depicted at the moment of his enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. He is shown in the "earth touching mudra" - calling the earth to witness his liberation. Surrounding him are bodhisattvas representing the three main aspects of enlightened mind: Vajrapani, in the form of a garuda, symbolizing the power of awakened mind: Avalokiteshvara who embodies compassion : and Manjushri, the embodiment of wisdom. The silk screened print is well drawn with clear and precise details; suitable for interior or exterior locations.
