Our line of “Dharma Caps” combines beautifully embroidered auspicious symbols with the highest quality fitted caps. The caps display Tibetan Buddhist symbols. These ancient symbols represent aspects of Awakened Mind: Compassion, Wisdom, Power, etc. Since caps are worn on the highest part of the body we felt that displaying sacred emblems on them would honor the symbols’ meanings and would promote spiritual awareness, peace and harmony in the world. The explanations of the symbols on the caps can be seen on the product detail pages.
We spent several years looking for a well-designed cap worthy for displaying auspicious spiritual symbols. One problem for us was, being a company that actively supports the liberation of Tibet, we did not want to use caps manufactured in China (which is where 90% of caps are made). We were delighted to finally find Flexfit, a company that manufactures perhaps the highest quality caps in the world. They assure us that none of the caps we will purchase from them will be Chinese-made.
The main innovation of Flexfit Caps is the built in flexible poly-weave spandex band (USA Patent #5715540). There are no buckles, Velcro strips or “expansion holes” in the back, just a continuous smooth comfortable band. For our Dharma Cap line we have chosen to use their all-cotton (except for the spandex in the flexible band), low profile (3 1/8” crown height), 6 panel caps with same color visors.
SIZES: Dharmacaps are available in two sizes that will fit almost anyone except children and adults with heads larger than 25” around. The Small size fits hat sizes 6 3/4 – 7 1/8" (21”- 22 3/4” around) and the Large size fits 7 1/8 – 7 5/8 (22 1/2”- 24 ̋”). The spandex band stretches so, if you’re in between sizes, go for the smaller size.
